Ally Financial is Hiring a Remote Director - Software Engineering
Responsible for managing the quality control and prompt engineering assurance within Customer Care & Communication technology. Enables the delivery of critical features for our agents and customers inclusive of our agent desktop experience, voice telephony, digital chat messaging, and our generative AI platform. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading a team of quality assurance engineers across fixed capacity agile squads.
- Enables in-sprint automation across all platforms and maintains a suite of automation technologies that leverage Jest, Playwright, Cyara, and Cucumber
- Leads Generative AI prompt engineering & ongoing performance monitoring supporting Customer Care use cases.
This individual must be able to review and evaluate the performance of Software Engineering Managers and Software Engineers within a matrixed environment. Ultimately accountable for project deliverables, resource allocations, assignments, budgets, and the overall quality of the final product. Works with various technology partners to define and drive strategic requirements and solutions across development, infrastructure, and testing teams. This position will report to a Senior Technology Director and have direct management responsibility for multiple engineering resources.
